Vintique Motors is thrilled to present this 1968 Ford F-250 Highboy 4×4 4-Speed!
Per the Marti Report, this 1968 F-250 is finished in Harbor Blue over a black vinyl bench seat and Harbor Blue interior and was ordered through the Seattle, WA district and sold new to a gentleman from Snohomish, WA. This truck would spend nearly its entire existence in Washington before moving to Florida for a brief period followed by our acquisition and shipping to our showroom here in Michigan.
Under the hood is the workhorse 300ci inline 6-cylinder engine that produces 170hp and 283 ft.-lbs. of torque and is mated to a New Process 435 4-speed manual transmission. Outback is a Dana 60 axle housing a 4.10 gear with limited slip along with a 4×4 system with manual locking front hubs. Being a spartan base level F-250, this truck is equipped with power steering along and manual 4-wheel drum brakes with optional equipment consisting of ammeter and fuel pressure gauges, HD rear springs, HD battery, and a spare tire.
Hailing from the PNW this is a rust-free survivor that has been maintained and refurbished as needed. It is deduced that approximately 60% of the paint is original with repainting of certain areas occurring in 2006 including the tailgate, the hood, portions of the bed, and portions of the driver’s door as depicted in the gallery. Additionally, the wheels, grill, headlight housings, and bumpers were powder coated a pale white hue in 2006 along with the currently installed Wildcat EXT Radial LT tires sized 315/75 mounted on factory 16″ steel 8-lug wheels.
Also in 2006, a small lift kit and a Warn 16.5ti Thermometric 16,500 winch was installed along with extending the from frame rail and front bumper to house the winch. Additional inclusions are a bed mounted diamond plate toolbox, a class IV trailer hitch with a 7-pin hook-up, and a trailer brake controller.
Included with the sale is the original owner’s manual, the Warn winch user manuals, the Marti Report, documentation for work performed since 2006, and a spare wheel mounted on a Remington Mud Brute tire sized 255/85R16. Do not miss this opportunity to acquire this wonderfully preserved highboy with rugged updates as they are becoming increasingly difficult to find.
