This GSX-R 600 is finished in a yellow and black color scheme and features a DOHC 599cc 4-cylinder engine rated at 115hp at 13,000rpm and 51 lb.-ft. of torque at 10,800rpm. It offers liquid cooling and EFI 38mm throttle bodies with a 12.2:1 compression ratio. The engine is connected to a 6-speed manual transmission with a wet multi-disc clutch transmitting power to the rear wheel via a chain. The suspension is comprised of a telescopic fully adjustable front suspension with a monoshock fully adjustable rear suspension. Braking is provided by twin front 320mm discs with 4-piston calipers and a single rear 220mm disc with 2-piston caliper.
It was sold new in California on 11/19/2001 and remained with the original owner for 15 years until 11/20/2016 when its second owner from Rancho Cucamonga, CA purchased it. It would remain with the second owner for 7 years until our acquisition on 1/20/2023 with 38 original miles on the odometer and currently has 39 miles. It does have two cosmetic imperfections centric to the left side of the gas tank and the other centric to the graphic on the tail. We recently gave it a full inspection followed by installing a new battery and servicing the braking system with new brake fluid and rebuilding the rear brake master cylinder. It is offered in running and driving condition, however, if you do plan to ride it, it is advised to change the tires as they are the originals.
