Vintique Motors is thrilled to present this 1970 Triumph TR6C Trophy 650!
Triumph’s fabled TR6 Trophy model was first released in 1956 and continued its successful run with a 649cc parallel twin engine until 1973 when it was replaced by the TR7 Tiger with its 744cc parallel twin engine. The TR6 was developed and produced specifically for the U.S. market, and in particular, California desert racing which was extremely popular in the 1960s. The TR6 ultimately proved to be a successful model with several notable wins throughout the 1950s and 1960s.
This 1970 TR6C Trophy is the recipient of a comprehensive restoration and is beautifully finished in green and white with a black seat and stainless-steel fenders. It is powered by its numbers matching 649cc parallel twin rated at 42hp with a single Amal carburetor. It also features a 4-speed manual transmission, kick-start ignition, two-up seating, a Smiths speedometer, dual exhaust, and 19″ in front and 18″ in rear wire-spoked wheels. The odometer shows 8,004 miles, total original mileage is unknown.
We proceeded to have our trusted vendor Nostalgic Motoring in Auburn Hills, MI perform a fresh service and it is offered in running condition and ready to join your collection.
